Guest posting and a freebie for you!

Hey everyone!

Well, after spoons under the pillows, jammies inside out and ice cubes in the toilet (this is a new one for me!), we FINALLY had a blessed not one, but two snow/ice days. And it's supposed be 58 degrees on Sunday?!?  Gotta love Missouri weather!

I put yesterday to good use...played with the little miss, baked some bread, made baked potato soup, and typed up a little guest post for Mr. Greg from Smedley's Kindergarten Smorgasboard!!  Soooo jazzed...love, love, love his blog!!   Click on Greg's button below to see it!  **SPOILER ALERT--it's about, as one eloquent lady put it, "the medical practitioner who has an affinity for felines" and there may or may not be a couple of freebies involved!
If you are coming here from Greg's blog, welcome and take a look around and consider following little ol' me!  Whether you are visiting or a faithful follower, I've got some more goodies here for you too.  Here's the link to a circus-y vowel bingo game, great for this time of year!  Just click on the cover to get your copy!

Day two of snow/ice was also productive.  If you liked the Feed the Fox freebie from Greg's blog, you can go to my TpT store to get these two new versions of the game--one for beginning sounds and one for short vowels.  Click on either picture to go to my store.

It's that time of year again!

It happens every year...I can set my watch by it...this time every year my kids figure out they can read.  And what is the book du jour?  Green Eggs and Ham!  Here's the view from my desk the last few days during indoor recess!

I love it!  I am so proud of them and they of themselves.   But to be honest, I am sick to death of that book.  I can quote it in my sleep.  Now just to move them on to other books...

Happy Friday, everyone!

Games in action and an awesome freebie!

Last week, we had our montly Parent Activity event.  This month's theme was "I Love Math", so I put one of my newest, kid favorite activities to work.  Using my More or Less Dot Card War activity, students had a blast "warring" with a twist.  Here's a few pics!

Click on the picture to go to my TpT store to grab a copy for yourself!  It's sure to become a hit in your classroom, too!
The amazing Nicole at Lanier's Lions is giving away the absolute cutest clipart set from Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Daa!
So grabbed it to help soothe the savage clipart addiction!  Really, they need a twelve step program for the compulsion I have when it comes to clipart.  Click on Nicole's button to go snag it for yourself!  :-)

What's in my cart?

I spent last night putting items in my cart at TpT in preparation for the big Super Bowl sale.  Believe me, I'm showing some real restraint.  Especially since last night I was involved in several conversations regarding other people's carts and a little obsession I have with clip art.  How many beginning sound sets does one really need?  Besides, the little miss' birthday is Friday and her party is Saturday so most of my extra "fun"dage is going to that.

Here's what I've whittled it down to, paling in comparison to some others I know!

First up, the only non-clip art item in my cart is this cute little game.  I found it on Julie's blog, Make, Take, Teach, last week while I was preparing for our Kindergarten Literacy Night.  For about $2.50, I've got a game that I can put in work stations and easily differentiate using different Dolch lists.

These next two items I found while in a mad scurry yesterday for some rhyming clip art sets.  I  had never seen Pamela Hyer's sets before and they are adorable.  No more searching through all my other clip art for pictures.  All in one easy peasy place!

Thanks to Kaci Hoffer from Mrs. Hoffer's Spot, I also added this set from The Hazel Owl to my cart!  Right now, she's bundled her first 3 sets, but as she uploads more, I can get the revised copy!  Sorry for the poor picture...I just couldn't get it to work!

**UPDATE**I really shouldn't read other people's posts when these kind of sales are going on.  I just purchased Maria Manore's Bundled Interactive Reader pack.  Going to have to lock my computer in the car if I can't be good!
Click on the button to go directly to my store.  Don't forget to enter your bonus code "SUPER" for an additional 10% off!  Happy Shopping!!
